CEO
Mujtaba Jaffer
Mujtaba’s leadership as CEO from 2009 saw the group expand its operations from a single location grain handling and storage terminal to quadrupling capacity and diversifying product lines to include fertilizer, edible oil and clinker. He also started the logistics business and pioneered bulk logistics using the SGR rail infrastructure.
Mujtaba spent his childhood in Mombasa, Kenya and holds a Bachelor of Computer Science and Finance degree from St. Johns University New York.

Deputy CEO
Solomon Ondego
Solomon is a skilled project manager with 15+ years’ experience in port logistics, bulk industries and gas. He has overseen key expansion projects worth $400m+ in East Africa, and is responsible for business strategy, operations management, and key partnerships. Solomon holds a Bachelors Engineering degree in Mechatronics and has completed professional training programs.

CFO
Jon Stokes
Jon has been with the Company since inception. He is a graduate of Oxford University and also holds non-executive directorships in numerous other related companies. He is a member of ICAEW in the UK and ICPAK in Kenya, and joined the group after working in the UK for Coopers & Deloitte and the Mersey Docks and Harbour Company.

Jared Locklear
Jared is a graduate from Texas A&M University with a degree in maritime administration. His educational background enabled him to understand the framework and interconnectivity for both business and the maritime industry’s contribution to a country’s overall economy. His experience spans North America, Africa and the Middle East in variety of Port, Terminal, Infrastructure and Logistics Businesses.

Roger Mattar
Roger is an seasoned logistics manager with over 20 years of experience across various industries. He has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and his role focuses on maximizing efficiency and ensuring competitive transportation costs for bulk commodities. He has worked across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East for international organizations.

CLO
Zainab Bachoo
Zainab is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over 15 years of experience in corporate law, banking and finance, real estate and corporate governance. She is a graduate of the University of Leicester. Prior to joining Bulkstream, Zainab was a senior associate at Anjarwalla & Khanna. She was also awarded the Commonwealth Fellowship Award in 2012 pursuant to which she was seconded to Hogan Lovells LLP in London for three months.

Wilfred Waithaka
Wilfred is a registered engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya and a member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Communications Engineering and a Master’s in Electronics Product Engineering. He has worked for various companies, including Wananchi Group and Liquid Telecom Kenya Ltd.
